Oh, sorry, Barb. Toscana is the real name in Italian for Tuscany, Italy. Valleriana is the name of a region in Tuscany, also known as Swiss Pescia (Svizzera Pesciatina), that contains ten castled-villages from Medieval times in the hills north of Pescia. Pescia lies between Florence (Firenze) and Lucca.

I thought that I had been speaking to Yoda, and his owner, my neighbor. But later I also saw another neighbor's dog visiting: Laica.
The ceiling idea would be fantastic for a mural the States. Here, most of the ceilings I have seen are ceramic terra-cotta tiles. With wood beams from chestnut trees, it would be a shame to cover them.
That said, while I was outside photographing and witnessing this amazing evening after such a rainy and windy day, I kept imagining how to use those colors and forms and movements in pastel paintings. So many projects and ideas, and I work too slow!
